Our RENAISSANCE TREASURES TOUR reveals the most important sites of the Renaissance period in Milan and lets you marvel at its beauty.

Our 2-hour walking tour covers the must-see sites, including a skip-the-line access to Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘The Last Supper’, but also hidden treasures such as the wonderful church of San Maurizio, known as the ‘Sistine Chapel of Milan’.

Our knowledgeable local English-speaking guides will share their passion for Renaissance art and architectures with you and will make you live a fascinating experience.

What you can expect

Choose this 2-hour walking tour and dive into the unexpected Renaissance side of Milan. Start with the marvelous UNESCO-listed church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, a true masterpiece designed by the architect Bramante, and visit the Dominican convent where the world-renowned “The Last Supper” is displayed. Skip the lines and be amazed of this iconic mural painting designed by the Italian genius of Renaissance art, Leonardo da Vinci.  Take your time for an up-close look to the gestures and the expressions of Jesus and the 12 Apostles, while your expert English-speaking guide unveils details about the composition, the  perspective effects, the use of colors and much more.

Just a few blocks away you will find a hidden pearl of the city, the 16th-century church of San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore, the “Sistine Chapel” of Milan, considered one of the finest yet almost unknown artistic jewels of the city. Here disciples of Leonardo decorated the walls, the side chapels and the ceiling with colourful frescos of uncomparable beauty. Let yourself be overwhelmed by this Renaissance masterwork!

Proceed to the huge and imposing Castello Sforzesco, a majestic Renaissance court surrounded by the amazing Sempione Park. Cross the Clock Tower of this iconic symbol of Milan, walk through the Army courtyard and learn more about the Sforza family and the reasons why the dukes of Milan hired Leonardo who lived here as a guest for decades.

Excellent. We learned much more than we would have if we tried to do it by ourselves.

Davide was a great guide, very knowledgeable and extremely personable. It was nice to have an Italian doing the tour since he peppered in local jokes too. He spoke better English than most Americans so no need to worry about that.

The tour was a doddle to book. It was very well organised and well paced. We had time to listen, admire, rest, drink coffee and ask questions. The tour guide was knowledgable, friendly, and professional.

Personally I was very much looking forward to the tour, my wife on the other hand is not so interested in things related to history. But all that changed when we met our guide, she was so friendly, funny but most of all she explained to us so well that even my wife was impressed! We ended up falling in love with Milan.

Our guide was very interesting, had good humour and spoke fluent English. She introduced us to a side of Milan that not many tourists/ Milanese have ever noticed! The Sistine Chapel of Milan was amazingly interesting! My parents, who initially complained that the tour was too expensive and not worth the money, later told me that they were very impressed.

Davide is an excellent guide. Despite the sweltering heat, the two hours flew by and we walked away feeling like we really learned something and understood Milan a bit better.
